Guidelines for a calmer sea.
Drift Bottle is built for lower-pressure, adult emotional connection. These guidelines explain what behavior keeps the sea safe, respectful, and worth returning to.
1. Core principles
Drift Bottle is intended for adults 18+ who want more intentional conversation than typical random chat products. We expect users to treat one another with honesty, care, and restraint.
- Respect the emotional context of the conversation.
- Do not pressure anyone for immediate replies, personal disclosure, or off-platform contact.
- Use the product as a place for connection, not extraction, performance, or harassment.
2. What is not allowed
- Harassment, abuse, threats, stalking, intimidation, or repeated unwanted contact.
- Hate speech or content targeting protected groups.
- Sexual exploitation, coercion, or unwanted sexual content.
- Any child sexual abuse or exploitation content or conduct. See the Child Safety Standards.
- Scams, spam, impersonation, fraud, or deceptive requests for money or private information.
- Content that encourages self-harm, violence, or dangerous illegal activity.
- Sharing or soliciting exact addresses, precise live location, passwords, financial details, or intimate images without consent.
3. Privacy and boundaries
Drift Bottle is designed to feel atmospheric rather than invasive. Users should not use the product to pressure others into revealing identity, face, social media handles, or exact location.
- Do not dox, expose, or threaten to expose someone.
- Do not share another person's content outside the app in a harmful or identifying way.
- Respect a no, a block, or a lack of response.
